Another week has flown by!

Family and Friends,

Elder Bond and I totally Teancumed this week. thats about all i have to say about that. We are working hard at every turn, climbing every mountain and seeing miracles in every day. its wonderful! Im not sure I have ever seen such success my entire mission! We are actually contacting interested and progressing people ourselves! Normally, about 1 in 100 people you contact yourself become serious yet recently, a large majority of our progressing teaching pool is made up people we contacted through our own efforts, not referrals! its a miracle!

Saturday we are preparing for Richard and Eunice's baptism, my first couple to personally baptize. I am so excited! They are progressing so very well, giving up difficult addictions and changing their lives in faith. Its so sweet.

One of our investigators this week (a Jehovah's Witness) gave up drinking tea and had a bit of an epiphany moment when he recognized how different his translation of the bible is from our own. He is finally sincere in my opinion to discover for himself if Joseph Smith is a prophet. that was exciting!

Friday was one of the top ten most difficult days of the mission. Thurdsay night we had no electricity, thus I slept quite miserably in our hot room without a fan. So Friday was quite dull to begin. A crazy man stopped us and began cussing us out, we weren't even 50 steps from the apartment. Every single appointment out of 9 appointments failed. We literally wandered around the entire day in search of anybody to sit down with us. It was quite miserable! haha. If it wasnt for my miracle "hotter" shoes, i would have had 3 dangerous blisters like Elder Bond did from his echos. But yet we actually found a great deal of entertainment from people's excuses and other things that young men laugh about in ghana. My favorite excuse of the day was, "last night, as you can see, some small animal, specifically a small ant, bit my LEFT eye so I wont be able to sit town with you today." haha we laughed so hard about that one walking away, im pretty sure we were both crying. it was hilarious. gotta be there to understand. haha overall, it was just one of those bad days that you gotta go through to earn the good ones.

This week, I think we have permanently scarred at least 4 small children who have frozen with fear, screamed and cried their guts out all wide eyed in the middle of the yard when Elder Bond and I walk by. Guess we are pretty scary looking! (or perhaps when we flash our blues eyes at them all wide they get freaked out...)  we couldn't help it! hahaha

Two nigerian brothers we have been teaching came to church this sunday with us. We went and picked them up sunday morning and went with them to church. They have a car so it was my very first time in 22 months to drive to church, and then drive home afterwards. They even invited us over for lunch to have a snack in stead of starve all afternoon long till we go home for dinner at the end of the day. it was so wonderful i thought i would remind you all how incredible it is to get to drive to and from church, and enjoy a nice snack after church on sunday. :)

We go to go to the beach this morning and had a whole lotta fun. Im officially roasted on my collar, sleeves and legs. i aint used to feeling sun on those parts of the body... the sun is not easy here! the beach was sweet. met some Rastafarians, some brits and some other white people. i call it a success! We just played in the sand, no water for us!

Well, this is the last week of the transfer and im afraid Elder Bond and I will likely be splitting ways. we are determined to kill it this comin week just like Teancum would do. Life is good! Just keep swimming! (what movie??)
