This is the Lords Work

How is everything my dearest family and friends! :)

Well shoot, another week has come and gone! :) must say that each day this week has seemed like an eternity, but in hindsight, it always flies by! this week has been full of learning experiences. It's difficult to put everything into words or to pinpoint exactly what it is that i am learning. i think it's said best by "experience is the greatest teacher." I am experiencing much!

no letters this week, or packages, but i have faith that they will get here someday! :) trust me mom, i will not be able to contain my excitement when i DO get them :) i will let you know when i get them! but thank you for sending them. it is powerful and very inspiring when i got my first letters a couple of weeks ago. thanks for all the support! :)
life in L.I.B. is sweet brothers and sisters. This week, i got to have a taste of some PANCAKES!!! ahh it was so sweet, you should have seen the smile on my face :) grinning ear to ear. man, you learn to love and miss the simple things when they're not there :)

My small message this week surrounds the death of one of my friends and progressing investigators, Joe. We had been teaching Joe for a few weeks now and were preparing him to be baptized in the near future. Unfortunately, he was killed in a motorbike accident last sunday morning, hit by a semi truck driving on the wrong side of the road. It is a small reminder that death can come at any moment! even for a young man, only 18 as Joe!
Im not going to say that it has been detrimental to the work or that it has thrown me spiraling down into depression, no. He was a friend, maybe even better described simply as a "pal". But it is a simple reminder that we must be ready always to meet our maker! Alma 34:32 i think... do not procrastinate your repentance!
this work is the Lords work. i am grateful to be a part of it as his missionary :)
love- elder fairwell
