family and friends!
what a pleasure it is to get to
hear from you this week. i always look forward to email time :) it really makes
me grateful for the opportunity that we have to freely talk to each other at
home.
today was one of those days
where i woke up, washed my clothes, had study, ate a small breakfast and then
just lied in my bed too worn down and too un-enthusiastic to do anything else.
so i just laid there listening to my music and let the heat purge my body of 3
gallons of sweat... anyways ill admit that i just couldnt find the
energy to be excited or happy about anything.
so yes, i also have those times. its not always easy! but the important part is that we press through them :) ive come so much closer to my Savior in times like these, and i am so grateful for them! i try my very best to be like the missionaries in Acts chapter 5 and rejoice that i may be persecuted for Christ's sake, even if im not really being persecuted. haha. but its at least a nice thought to think that im here on a mission for His sake. thats why im willing to go through these things. i also do my best to record the lessons i learn, and the principles i come to more fully understand. experience is the best teacher, and im grateful for all the experience ive gained here so far, and look forward to much more :)

this week has been one with ups
as well as plenty of downs! we all have them. i cant really put a finger on
it, what exactly makes it so challenging, but i can always identify what makes
the ups so wonderful! and that is the spirit of Christ. He is our true source
of peace and happiness. i love the hymns that articulate this message so well,
and i often find myself singing their words in my heart! when all other sources
of comfort seem to fail, we can always depend on Christ to heal our heart.
the most wonderful part of this
week is that i feel that ive been able to understand and comprehend what my investigators
go through more intimately and personally, as i myself go through it. I love
that so much. it reminds me and inspires me to work harder to bring His
light that keeps me going to more and more people! His light is the only thing
that keeps me going, and i so much desire to share it with others!
we should remember those times
that we relied on the Savior, when we needed His grace. may we be reminded, as
we are taught in mosiah 4, that we are all beggars before God, and that we all
so desperately desire His grace. as we reflect upon those moments when we
received His love and grace, may we feel a renewed desire to share that with others and
bring them into this wonderful light of the gospel.
thank you for the love and
prayers, i couldnt serve without them! till next week my friends,
elder fairwell (aka, elder welfare as most investigators call me)
